Sarah (BSW, Curtin University, LLB (Hons), Murdoch University, NMAS) is an Associate at MDC Legal, with over 5 years’ experience in workplace, safety and employment law. Sarah has worked for national and mid-tier legal firms as well as working as Deputy Registrar at the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission. Sarah has experience in advising senior management and human resource practitioners on a wide range of employment and industrial relations issues, including change management, restructuring, discipline and grievance investigations and award and agreement interpretation. Sarah also has advocacy and negotiation experience in the Fair Work Commission, Industrial Magistrates Court, State Administrative Tribunal and the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission. She is a nationally accredited mediator, with prior experience conducting court mediations for employment and industrial disputes. Sarah advises employers and employees on employment and workplace laws, including contractual and statutory rights and obligations, unfair dismissals, general protections and discrimination claims, performance, discipline and safety matters and the drafting and interpretation of employment contracts.
